Sports Photos and Tamaki Cluster

Term 4, Week 4

Last Friday we spent the morning in the hall ensuring that all our sport teams were given the opportunity to have their official photo taken.  It was wonderful to see how many students have been involved in such a wide variety of sporting codes.

This week we had the Tamaki Cluster Touch Tournament.  We took 1 x mixed Yr 5 team and 1 x mixed Yr 6 team.

The teams were

It was a great day and the teams played some great games of touch.  Both teams came a very credible third place.  Congratulations!  And a huge thanks to Coach Mary for all your support and dedication to our students.

Term 4 sports has started with a bang!

Term 4 Week 2

Term 4 sport has kicked off to a great start with our League Boys representing us with pride at the Interzone competition held on Thursday the 15th October at One Tree Hill Domain.  The tournament had numerous cancellations last term due to wet weather so despite our boys being a bit 'rusty' they rose to the challenge and played their hearts out.  Many thanks to Coach Fletcher and Mr Timo for supporting the boys.

Tamaki Cluster teams have been named and in Week 3 the two mixed teams will battle it out with our local primary schools.  We will keep you posted with the results.  Coach Mary is back on board with trainings and taking the Yr 5 team.  Whaea Dagmar has been coaching the Yr 6 team and Whaea Elizabeth will take the team on the day.  Good luck to you all!

We have also entered two touch teams in a Friday after school competition at Hamlin Park.  So far we have been playing really well and the main thing is everyone is having lots of fun!

Our Cross Country Speedsters!

On Wednesday week 10 Mrs Key took 24 students to compete in the Tamaki Cluster Cross Country event. The weather was not very good in the morning but it turned out to be a beautiful day. Our runners did a great job as they had a very tough course to run. It was a long wait for our year 8 students who were in the last 2 races of the day.

Everyone who competed did a great job with every runner coming in the top 20 of their age group. We may even see some of these kids competing at the olympics one day!
