Where do we begin? It would seem that sport here at Sylvia Park School has started with a BANG! At any given lunchtime you can expect to find a group of students training with their coach. First sport out of the blocks being delivered by Active Sport Auckland is softball.
This coincides well with as our first Tamaki Cluster event this year is softball. Congratulations to the following students who will be representing SPS this Wednesday at Dunkirk Reserve. All the very best for your tournament!

We have also had our first trials for the netball academy. We are thrilled to announce two amazing coaches that are on board this year to take our Yr 5-8 teams, Coach Mary and Miss Whittle. A squad will be chosen and trainings will take place in earnest over the next few weeks.
Lastly we are so thankful to have the wealth of talent and experience that Coach Fletcher and Coach Mary bring to our Rugby and League trainings. Students have been very excited to receive such expertise from our coaches and the enthusiasm has been tangible.
This has also resulted in SPS being able to enter 5 Rippa teams into the Friday night Interschool Rippa Tournament held at Mt Wellington Rugby Club at Hamlin Park. It's been so great to see all the students, supported by their families, out on the field having a wonderful time. A great start to a year of great sport SPS! Keep it up!
