Softball, new uniforms and Cricket trials!

T1 Wk4

On Wednesday the Year 5's and Year 6's softball teams headed off to Dunkirk Reserve for the Tamaki Cluster softball tournament.  The weather was absolutely stunning and provided the backdrop for what was a spectacular day of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

But not only that the teams looked AMAZING because they were all modelling SPS's brand new sports strip.  And don't they look so smart!!!

A huge thanks to Mr C and Moe and all the parents and support people that accompanied our teams.

We also have been having the cricket trials this week for the Tamaki Cluster Cricket tournament in Wk 7.   Mr Cowlrick has had his hands full with the huge amount of students giving it a go.  Good luck to all that trialled - the teams will be announced early next week.

The Eastern Zone TAG trials will be held on Monday - Wk 5 - go hard trialists!!!

And last but not least....go the mighty BLACK CAPS!!!!

Softball starts the 2015 year!

T1 Wk 3

Softball has kicked off our Active Sports programme for 2015.  We have had two coaches, Tash and Mel, whom have come in to offer their expertise around all the relevant softball skills.  The feedback from the students and teachers have been very positive and by the looks of things there are some very capable softballers taking to the diamond.

This ties in beautifully with the upcoming Tamaki Cluster Softball tournament to be held this Wednesday the 25th Feb.  It will be played at Dunkirk Reserve.  Congratulations to the following players who have successfully made the two teams.
